Need a place to sit down and chill after a shopping spree about town? This newly opened chic space might just be for you. Singapore’s popular homegrown fashion brand The Editor’s Market has opened a new flagship store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre – complete with a chic little cafe tucked away inside.
Called Found Cafe, the coffee joint is sleek-looking while having a white and minimalist touch all over, reminiscent of cafes in Korea. Decorated with hanging lights, tiled flooring, and a granite coffee counter, the cafe has a monochromatic palette that complements the slow living life that The Editor's Market aims to achieve.
Serving pastries, desserts and an assortment of loaves, customers can tuck into the Black Truffle Pie ($9.50), Spam & Potato Sourdough ($6) or Black Garlic Sourdough ($5.50). If you have a rather sweet tooth, dig into the Matcha Layered Cake ($8), Coconut Loaf ($5.50) or Earl Grey Lavender Loaf ($5.50).
The Black Truffle Pie is a must-try at the cafe, as it has a generous serving of portobello mushrooms among parmesan cheese and mashed potato. Another highlight is the decadent Matcha Layered Cake, boasting alternate layers of matcha ganache, cream cheese, and a nutty macadamia crunch at the bottom of the dessert.
Caffeine lovers can also order the espresso-based drinks (Black $4.50, White $5.50), or if you wish to order a fancy beverage, opt for the Coconut Blue Pea Dirty ($7).
