Don't be surprised to see this unassuming restaurant in Funan packed out during lunch. Flavours is a vegetarian-vegan concept by Saute Group, and it's pretty popular with the office crowd. The joint offers an expansive menu with Western, Asian, and Fusion plates, and is a great entryway for those trying plant-based dishes for the first time.
Don't leave without ordering the 'oyster' omelette ($15.50). This plant-based spin on the local hawker classic is one of our favourites, and it tastes just like the real deal, with an eggy, starchy base, plus a zingy chilli sauce. Mushrooms are thrown into the mix for extra texture and as a replacement for the oysters. The herbal bak kut teh ramen ($12.70) is another hit. The hearty, nourishing broth is packed with enoki mushrooms, tofu, vegetables, and you can opt to add a dollar for lion mane mushrooms and you tiao. On the fusion menu, there's the dry truffle ramen topped with fried yuba ($14.90) for those who prefer something different.
