First, look out for a large signage that shows "SPA CLUB". Second, take a deep breath; if you smell the aroma of roasted coffee beans, it means you've managed to locate Fahrenheit Coffee. It is all but an unassumingly intimate cafe that hides well from the crowds. And the coffee doesn't disappoint too. Beans here are sourced from socially responsible businesses and are roasted with Community Coffee to give you a quality cuppa. Rotating each month, the house espresso starts from $4 and $5 for a black or white.
From Yirgacheffe to Caranavi, there is also a monthly rotating range of filter coffees to choose from by different roasters around the world. Peckish? Check out the freshly baked bread and decadent pastries up for grabs. The crowd favourite seems to be the knots of Kardemummabullar, a spiced Swedish cardamom bread that is pillowy soft and embellished with silvered almonds and pearl sugar. But for us, the classic canele with its crisp lacquered exterior with fluffy custardy insides is hard to resist.
