The ultimate egg sandwich has arrived in Singapore; Eggslut will open its first Southeast Asia outlet at Scotts Square come September 9, 11am. Famed for their gooey stacks, expect to find everything served with a side of egg – prepped in various ways. And fans of the brand will be happy to know that the food menu remains exactly the same as the outlets in America.
A must-get: the signature Fairfax ($12), which is a humble yet delicious ode to the egg. The sandwich features scrambled cage-free eggs. Cold butter is first stirred into the mixture to help create an immensely creamy texture, before getting tossed with chives and stuffed between pillow-soft Sriracha mayo-laced brioche buns.
The Slut ($11) is another classic, with an alluring combination of potato puree and coddled egg. To enjoy, dunk in slices of toasted baguette to break the golden yolk, give everything a stir (it comes topped with a sprinkling of grey salt), and scoop up mouthfuls of the velvety mixture.
For those with a heartier appetite, the Gaucho ($23) comes with seared wagyu steak and over medium egg, then enlivened with chimichurri sauce. Or try the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich ($12) – a timeless pairing perfect for any time of the day. Complete the meal with sides that include truffle hash brown ($4.50), salad ($6), and salted chocolate chip cookie ($3.50).
Exclusive additions to the Singapore menu are two canned sodas ($4.50) – elderflower and lemon, or grapefruit and ginger – made in collaboration with Brewlander. Adorable yellow-clad merchandise are also available for purchase.
