When you step into this modern European fusion restaurant, you’re greeted with an ambience of warm lighting, calming aromas and soft music. Setting the stage for a reasonable two- ($39) or three-course ($45) menu for lunch, this casual yet intimate venue is a great place for a break away from a hectic work day or for business meetings and corporate discussions.
Start with in-house made sourdough bread and soft buns topped with kombu butter as your appetisers are prepared in an open-concept kitchen. Pick between a tangy Hotaru-ika squid salad or refreshing cold somen noodles with fresh scallops.
The main course features tender and juicy Iberian pork served in a Wagyu-steak style that’s topped with pine nuts to give that smoky flavour. The meat melts in your mouth and the taste will linger on in your thoughts, even a few days after. Honestly, if there is only one dish you have in Beurre@23, it’s this one. If you prefer seafood, there’s a crispy yet chewy soft shell crab risotto where every pinkish-red spoonful explodes with rich flavour.
For dessert lovers, there’s a passionfruit ice cream dish served with meringue and brown butter sauce – a perfect combination of sweet, sour and salty. Every dish is plated so immaculately that you’d want to have your phones out to snap a pic for the ‘gram.
