Afternoon Tea Experience at MO Bar

This month, it looks to Japan ($48 for one, $88 for two) to put together an inspired selection of dainty treats. Start by choosing a warm brew – green tea-based Saicho with pomegranate blossom is an obvious choice, but we also like the Ocean Voyage that sails into warm territory with fresh cut ginger, or the Mandarin Oriental-exclusive blend. Then, open the palette with a refreshing dose of white peach granita, before grazing on bread prawn-stuffed rolls, smoked salmon sandwiches, and soy-glazed chicken tortilla. Besides vanilla scones, the buttery bake also comes infused with plenty of umami from seaweed. Round off the afternoon with desserts of cheesecake layered with yuzu chiboust cream and mocha-topped hojicha cream roll – all while looking out at the city’s skyline.
