Japanese chef Masanao Saito heads this Italian kitchen, bringing his native influences to the menu here, which features such decadent dishes as beef tenderloin and foie gras ($29), and lobster gratin ($29). The (relatively) low price point is an intentional statement – Five Nines aims to create a casual atmosphere around the fine dining repertoire. Pastas and risottos ($12-$22) don't skimp on the luxe, either – case in point: a truffle cream risotto with foie gras and chilled caviar capellini.
If you're there for quick meal, there's also a variety of hot and cold bites ($7-$18) and traditional desserts – think peach melba and tiramisu – that go for $8 to $9. If you're craving for more of a bargain, check out Five Nines' five-course menu, which packs in a mix of seafood and meat dishes from the à la carte spread for just $59. Or, go for its set lunch ($19.80), where you can opt for the restaurant's signature lobster gratin as part of the meal.
