Six years later, Joan Bowen redoubles its efforts on its cafe operations. Owners Khong Yoon Kay and Jeanne Seah trains youths with special needs to cook up signatures like chilli crab pasta ($18) and barbecued pork ribs ($20), as well as new additions to the menu like beef cheek stew ($24) and pork roulade ($20). The youths get to gain confidence and discover their special talents – and we get to eat and drink well.
