Part of the $15 million renovations at Marina Square, the Dining Edition takes up an entire 50,000 sq ft wing on the second level. With 16 establishments in total – including the likes of Bangkok Jam (their fifth local branch), Beanstro (The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s casual eatery offshoot), St Marc Café (home to the choco cro pastry), Manhattan Fish Market and Pita Pan (the second branch adding to their MBS shop) – it’s one of the biggest groups of mall F&B offerings to come along in a while.
Notably, there are a bunch of new-to-Singapore brands worth checking out, chief among them the arrival of New York patisserie Lady M Confections (famous for their 20-layer mille crepes and recommended by Oprah Winfrey among others), as well as the local debut of Japanese tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen shop Menzo Butao (founded in 1936 with over 23 branches worldwide) and Chinese restaurant Supreme Tastes Jiang Nan Cuisine, offering dumplings, home-pulled noodles and more.
There’s also a twist to the local Carnivore Brazillian barbecue brand, with buffet dining at Carnivore Appetite, as well as new concepts Saigon Lotus (offering Vietnamese noodles and soup), Nuvo (contemporary Italian dining), Shallots (European fusion cuisine, with fresh oysters on offer) and Hamanoya (Japanese robatayaki – or ‘fireside cooking’ – meat and seafood grill).
