The well-priced menu covers the right bases and although the produce is good, the execution of most dishes is a little too safe, verging on dull. Strange anomalies abound, such as steak frites served with a béarnaise sauce in a shot glass – a touch impractical, although the steak itself is delicious. Also, a Caesar salad is not a Caesar salad if it’s missing anchovies, no matter how tasty the poached egg and parmesan-coated cos lettuce; try the tastier spiced-lamb kofta salad instead.
