In keeping with the tradition of
the famous Shilin Night Market
in Taipei, this stall sells nothing but ‘snacks’.
But don’t make the mistake of thinking this is
finger food: items like the XXL Chicken ($3),
a large, breaded, deep-fried cutlet of chicken
about the size of a DVD box, and the Oyster Mee
Sua ($3.50), vermicelli noodles in a thick brown
sauce with liberal amounts of oysters, are not to
be ordered lightly.
