Revolution Coffee

Here’s another coffee joint to go out of your way to try: Revolution Coffee. Set up by Indonesian-native java devotee Ajie Permana at the secluded Infinite Studios on Portsdown Road, it can be a bit of a trek to get to (or you can take the shuttle bus from One North MRT station), and requires a bit of preplanning ahead of a weekday visit with its office-like hours. But once you find your way here, you’ll get to taste a new blend to the city – Reservoir Road by Sydney’s esteemed Single Origin Roasters. Served in a variety of pours, the café’s signature affogato ($6; it’s put together tableside) includes a cookie crumble under a scoop of vanilla ice cream and comes highly recommended. Food-wise, the café’s menu of standard salads, sandwiches, pasta and all-day-breakfast plates are made in-house and designed by the Shen Tan of the nowdefunct Wok & Barrel.
