Led by former Lolla chef, Mohd Shahrom, this latest addition to Seah Street is a contemporary restaurant that puts a local twist on classic European dishes. SELA offers three-course set lunch menus ($35) that change weekly to include dishes like baked sea bass with white clams and lemon butter sauce, grilled chicken with roasted carrots and parsley pesto, and braised veal with mash and roasted carrots. For dinner, look forward to offerings such as baked lamb ribs with roasted tomato and braised red cabbage ($30), and slow-cooked Kurobuta pork cheek ($28). Sweet bites here come with a local flair, like the gula melaka crème caramel ($10.50). After-work drinks are catered for, too. To pair with the Japanese craft beers ($11-$17) on offer are grilled tapas ($10-15) like chicken skewers, miso squid with sweet peas and duck rillette with sweet pickle.
