Cluny Court (Bukit Timah) outlet
For a city so obsessed with food, it’s surprisingly hard to find a decent burger joint besides the obvious: Hard Rock Café. The discerning foodie might want to try Wild Rocket’s low-key café Relish, tucked away in what appears to be an antique furniture outlet. The menu pairs burgers with fantastic imported beers, from Pink Killer to Sapporo; each ale arrives in its respective brewing company’s distinctive glass, Belgian-style. The pièce de résistance is the Ram-lee burger – a refined version of Malaysia’s hallowed Ramly burger – complete with neon-orange chilli sauce. Check out the ‘happy meal’– beer and a burger for $28.
myVillage at Serangoon Garden
So this is where Relish has expanded to: the homegrown burger joint’s new abode at Serangoon Garden’s myVillage mall is as limitedly accessible as its first base (Cluny Court), but we’re happy they’ve conquered new residential grounds – just in time to satiate more cravings with their innovative burger and beer pairings. Relish this time ’round will be a little different from the first – the menu will be a combination of the original Relish, Wild Rocket, Wild Oats and B3. Don’t say we mentioned, but we also heard the prices here are a little lower than the one at Bukit Timah.
