A tiny heartland café set up by teacher-turned- chef Yvette Chua – who previously trained at Hong Kong’s Michelin-starred Bo Innovation – with a whimsy, Alice-in-Wonderland setting. The refined, artisanal desserts with clever names here possess some serious oomph – must-tries include the refreshingly light A-Maize-Zing ($6/slice), a cake infused with popcorn and caramel, and It’s So Kumquat ($6), a local rendition of the now-ubiquitous citrus meringue tart, while there’s also the Whoa-ffles ($8.90), featuring a scoop of homemade pandan ice cream and gula melaka syrup.
