Rainbow-friendly bar, HQ, on the corner of Club Street gets a sexy upgrade. Owned by that PCK auntie and Fly Entertainment founder CEO, Irene Ang, Bar Naked keeps its interiors pared down and offers an industrial-themed shell – with bar counter, bare walls and a second level events room – for brands to use as a pop-up space to debut new or experimental concepts in quarterly stints. First to the bat after its opening last month is a concept dominated by blended Scotch brand, Monkey Shoulder, a spirit distributed by drinks company William, Grant & Sons. Featuring cocktails by ex-Tippling Club barman, and the group’s regional portfolio ambassador, Zachary Connor de Git, signature drinks include a citrusy mix with Monkey Shoulder named Something Like a Lassie, a Malt Jockey pairing the whisky with chocolate bitters and maraschino, as well as house pours of the distributor’s portfolio of spirits, including Sailor Jerry rum ($14/$188), Reyka vodka ($15/$228), Hendrick’s gin ($15/$228) and Milagro tequila ($17-$19/$288-$308).
