Johor Bahru, Bali, Bangkok and the like are usually the top choices for Singaporeans when considering a quick getaway, but what about jetting off to Australia instead? We’re not talking about a butt-numbing seven- to eight-hour flight to Melbourne or Sydney; Rather, we’re setting our sights on Western Australia, which is, surprisingly, just a quick four hours away. That’s even shorter than a flight to Japan or Taiwan.
Now that Jetstar has launched its direct flights from Singapore’s Changi Airport to Broome International Airport, getting to this particular underrated region of Australia has never been easier, and prices are light on the wallet as well. This gives holidaymakers even more budget travel options on top of Jetstar’s new direct flight route between Singapore and Labuan Bajo, an island paradise in Indonesia.
According to Jetstar’s website, a one-way flight from Singapore to Broome can cost as little as $135 if you make your booking by February 28 as part of the budget airline’s Discover Broome Sale, for specific date ranges spanning from April to late September, 2025. That gives you plenty of choices in planning a time period to travel.

Even if you miss the sale deadline, regular prices should still remain relatively affordable, so a trip to Broome is still worth putting on the cards either way. It’s also worth noting that Jetstar was recently named the second-best low-cost airline in the world, so you should be in pretty good hands. Of course, the prices stated only include carry-on baggage (7kg allowance) but a top-up would allow you to enjoy a 20kg allowance for checked baggage, along with an in-flight meal.
Flights on this Singapore-Broome route operate twice a week each way, via the Airbus A320 twin jet. The schedule is as follows:
Singapore to Broome
- Tuesdays: 9.50am departure, 2pm arrival
- Saturdays: 12.45pm departure, 4.25pm arrival
Broome to Singapore
- Tuesdays: 3pm departure, 7.10pm arrival
- Saturdays: 5.25pm departure, 9.35pm arrival
As for what’s in store for travellers? Broome is a coastal town with snorkelling spots, dolphin-spotting opportunities, preserved dinosaur footprints, majestic red seaside cliffs, and stretches of unspoilt beaches where you can have sunset camel rides – all the perfect elements for a good detox from city life. If a nature adventure of that sort sounds right up your alley, lock in your booking via Jetstar’s website before more wanderlusters discover this gem in Western Australia.
