Get your beach bods ready, because spontaneous visits to Sentosa's beaches are possible again. The island of fun announced today (March 14) that visitors are no longer required to make bookings before heading to its beaches and beach courts during peak period.
Previously, beachgoers had to book the beaches and courts on weekends and public holidays to keep crowds under control. Now that the rule has been lifted, guests can come and go freely every day of the week.
But it's not a free-for-all. Guests are still required to follow prevailing safe management measures. That includes mask-wearing, limits on social gathering group sizes, as well as safe management measures for sports activities. Safety rings on Sentosa's beaches will also be present to indicate where small groups of up to five can gather.
Don't be surprised if you're asked to move to another area on the beach too – Sentosa's Safe Distancing Ambassadors (SDAs) and enforcement officers will be patrolling to ensure no overcrowding. Swimming at the island's beaches is also not permitted after 7pm for safety reasons.
Besides visiting Siloso and Tanjong beaches on Sentosa, visitors can also visit Sentosa's free multi-sensory beach attraction, Magical Shores at Siloso, without making a reservation. Enjoy the immersive light and sound show on Fridays, weekends, the eve of public holidays and public holidays.
