Japanese pop band YOASOBI has revealed that Singapore will be one of their pit stops on their first international tour. They are scheduled to perform right here on our sunny island in January 2024. However, the exact date and venue for their Singapore performance are yet to be confirmed.
Formed in 2019, the fresh musical duo consists of producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Ikura. Since then, they have garnered several awards including five Japan Gold Disc Awards, three Space Shower Music Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards Japan, among several others.
Their most renowned track, Yoru ni Kakeru, achieved viral fame upon its release, catapulting them to stardom. Among their other well-received singles are Kaibutsu and Gunjo. Their most recent 2023 release, Idol, not only reached the pinnacle of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. Chart but also set a new record in Japan by amassing 100 million streams within a mere five weeks.
Their tour is set to kick off in Hong Kong, where they will headline the Clockenflap music festival in December. Following this, they will move on to Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, and finally, Kuala Lumpur.
