World’s No. 1 pizza chef is holding a pop-up in Singapore this February

Buckle your seatbelts, because the world’s number one pizza chef Diego Vitagliano will be coming to town this month. He will be joining hands with Chef Antonio Miscellaneo of La Bottega Enoteca, Singapore’s number one pizzeria, for an exclusive four-night-only dinner collaboration where diners will get to taste the best of both restaurants. 

Hailing from Naples, Italy, 10 Diego Vitagliano was crowned the world’s number one pizzeria in the 2023 Top 50 Pizza awards, after rigorous rounds of research and tastings by the judging panel. But even before it claimed the global top spot, the restaurant was already ranked the best pizzeria in Italy last year. 

And a collaboration with the world’s best ranking pizzeria deserves no less than the best – which is why La Bottega Enoteca will be hosting the four-night dinner at its Joo Chiat space. From February 20 to 23 for two seatings a night, diners will be treated to an eight course ($168) Italian feast.

In true Neapolitan fashion, classic pizzas like the Marinara will be served in Chef Diego’s signature style which he perfected over years. His pizzas are known to be light and soft with a slight crisp, achieved through a 36-hour leavening process with high hydration and minimal salt. Meanwhile, Chef Antonio’s philosophy of only using the freshest ingredients will mean diners get to enjoy the finest produce like fresh burrata, Sicilian tomatoes and cured sardines in his Sarde appetiser, which is inspired by traditional cold plates from his hometown of Sardinia.
