Spending lots of time in green spaces can definitely improve your wellbeing and mood. This time, check out the Woodlands neighbourhood, where a lesser known trail sits. Despite being just a 10-minute bus ride from Woodlands MRT station, you will realise that the park is still quite hidden amongst a neighbouring blocks of flats. Woodlands Town Park East is a tranquil nature spot that boasts beautiful flora and fauna. For outdoor enthusiasts, there’s also a myriad of hiking trails to choose from, if you wish to clock in your steps away from the popular nature reserves in Singapore.

However, if you’re only up for a casual stroll, the 30m-high hill is worth the walk up without burning yourself out. When you're on top, check out the refreshing views of the surroundings from the top of the hill. Embark on the different trails that are lined with lush trees and boulders, and visit the park’s manicured gardens where you will find different types of butterfly species fluttering around. There’s also a designated section for plant and insect life that’s worth checking out too. It’s also worth knowing that there are sheltered pathways in the area, so you won’t have to worry when it rains.

Although Woodlands Town Park East is smaller than other green spots, it’s a great respite away from city life while offering you a slice of serenity for quick evening strolls.
