Our previous rainy weather report was a bit of a dampener in every sense, highlighting a continued wet spell throughout the island with some thunderstorms. If you're tired of staying holed up at home or having your outings limited to rainy weather activities, we have great news for you: the skies are probably going to clear up just in time for Chinese New Year, according to Accuweather's latest 10-day weather forecast. So that's one more thing to look forward to in the coming days other than reunion dinners, snacking on pineapple tarts, and receiving red packets if you're single.

January 28, Tuesday – the Eve of Chinese New Year – might still be a rainy one, but what better weather is there to have a comforting hot pot dinner with your nearest and dearest?

On the other hand, the two gazetted Chinese New Year public holidays on January 29 and 30 are mostly set to be rain-free with just some cloudiness in the skies throughout, and a quick morning shower on the 29th. This good streak will continue on to January 31 and February 1, before the waterworks get running again in the upcoming early days of February.

In particular, there may be some thunderstorms happening next Monday and Tuesday, on February 3 and 4, so make sure you’re armed with a brolly and waterproof footwear just to be safe.

Across the board, cooler temperatures are set to continue with daily highs ranging from 29 to 32 degrees Celcius, and daily lows between 24 to 26 degrees Celcius.
