We all have our little obsessions, and for some of us, it's blind boxes – sealed toys where you purchase without knowing which variation you'll get. If you’re a fellow blind box enthusiast or just curious to see the phenomenon for yourself, then head to Singapore’s newest POP MART store at ION Orchard. And this isn’t just another POP MART store – it is the 10th and largest one yet in our city, spanning 262 square metres.
POP MART is a Chinese toy company known for its collectible designer toys, typically sold in a blind box format. Thus far, they’ve opened 450 retail stores globally in more than 23 countries and nine of them are in Singapore.
So, what's special at the ION Orchard store? This mega blind box haven offers the widest selection of POP Bean collectibles in Singapore, featuring cute mini figures based on popular POP MART characters, along with a vast collection of toys from various designers.
There are also three unique photo taking spots: a Skull Panda fibreglass statue area right smack in the middle of the store, a Dimoo public transport photo taking area at the very end and a digital photo booth with templates that change according to new launches.
Look out for popular restocks and store-exclusive toys from series such as The Monsters, Peach Riot, Molly and Cry Baby. There will also be Singapore-exclusive selections such as the Hacipupu Plush Keychain and Hirono x Keith Haring Figure.
POP MART at ION Orchard opens to the public from August 3, 2024. However, do note that pre-registration is required for visits on August 3 and 4. Registration will open from August 3, 8.30am and August 4, 9am. Simply head to their Instagram or Facebook for the registration link or QR code. One ticket will admit one person, and children under 12 will not require a ticket.
POP MART ION Orchard is located at 2 Orchard Turn, B2-57 ION Orchard, Singapore 238801.
