Universal Studios Singapore sees a lot of exciting news and events happening this year, such as the special Naruto exhibition that occurred in March, and the upcoming Halloween Horror Nights event that will feature a haunted house inspired by the Netflix series Sweet Home. The festivities will continue in 2025, as the highly anticipated Minion Land is set to open on February 14, 2025. Here’s everything you can expect to see in the new area.
That’s right, the Despicable Me and Minions series will be getting a whole section to itself, complete with rides, food, and decorations all inspired by the franchise. Minion Land is split into three distinct areas: Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighbourhood, and Super Silly Fun Land, all of which are modelled after various locations in the franchise. Shop for Despicable Me merchandise like toys, clothes, and confectionery at the Minion Marketplace, or try your hand at various arcade games to win Fluffy, Agnes’ plush unicorn, at Super Silly Fun Land.
Of course, if you’re going to Universal Studios, you’re not just going to shop – you’re going to ride all of the rides. The popular motion simulator ride Despicable Me Minion Mayhem will be available, alongside new rides like Buggie Boogie, the first-ever Minion dance party-themed carousel. Take in views of Minion Land with Silly Swirly, a ride which allows you to soar through the sky in uniquely-shaped vehicles.
Stop by the all-new restaurant Super Hungry Food Stand – a larger-than-film version of the waterfront snack stand in the movies – to try minion-inspired dishes, or snack on exclusive popcorn flavours at Pop-A-Nana. While you’re there, look out for popular characters like Gru, Agnes, and of course, the beloved minions who will be roaming Minion Land, and snap a few pictures with them.
