With Ibiza-esque beachside chill-outs and beat-driven underground raves, it’s no surprise that Singapore ranks in Asia’s top three cities for nightlife this year. We’re truly spoiled for choice when it comes to weekend merrymaking in this buzzy city. The question is: which clubs do the cool kids flock to?

According to the Nightlife International Association’s newest list of The World’s 100 Best Clubs, the answer is Clarke Quay’s ever-popular club haunt, Zouk (#30) and Marina Bay’s sky-high party institution, Cé La Vi (#49). Pop the champagne – we're one of only two Asian cities, alongside Bali’s Savaya Club (#40), to crack the top 50. Clubbing veterans won’t be surprised that first place goes to HÏ in Ibiza, world-renowned for its high-octane electronic music scene.

For many fresh-faced clubbers here, the rite of passage into the clubbing scene likely involves a night of shenanigans at Zouk. Known for propelling Singapore on the global nightlife map, it primarily features house music and top 40 hits for a crowd of mostly young revellers, with live performances from international artists being a regular highlight. As one of the city’s largest and most established nocturnal wonderlands, it serves as a gateway to Singapore’s vibrant nightlife scene and some of the best nightclubs in the city.

Graduates from Zouk might find themselves hitting up other popular party spots like Yang and Drip but it’s clear that Cé La Vi is well-deserving of its place at #49 in the list. The rooftop bar throws some of the city’s most incredible parties, always DJ’d by renowned local and international names. Not only is Cé La Vi the go-to spot for a weekend bash, but it also hosts one of the most glamorous New Year's Eve celebrations year after year – like this month’s ‘Diamonds in the Sky’ themed countdown.

Although we're surprised that clubs like Marquee, the city's largest and known for its giant indoor Ferris wheel, didn't make the list this time, its popularity here is undeniable. 2025 is right around the corner anyway, so we might just get another shot then.
