Hop into the nostalgic storybook world dreamt up by children’s author Beatrix Potter with the latest edition of afternoon tea at Skai: a Peter Rabbit-themed experience with bite-sized treats that are almost too cute to eat.
With Skai being located on the 70th floor of Swissôtel The Stamford, dining there is already a perk in itself. Its elevated ceiling spanning over two storeys high gives an extra sense of spaciousness, with window walls offering arguably the best views of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks and surrounding seas. Now, the restaurant and wine bar is pulling a rabbit out of its hat with this adorable new collaboration that takes us back to the carefree whimsy of our childhood days.

The venue’s interior retains its original elegance, but the magic lies in the details presented on your table. You’ll be given physical menus printed with classic watercolour-style Peter Rabbit illustrations, character-themed place cards, and even print-outs of Peter Rabbit and friends like Benjamin Bunny specially for decorative and photo-taking purposes. The coasters also feature the curious critter, and each table is spruced up with a pot of purple flowers for that English garden vibe.
Things kick off with your choice of drink, where each diner is entitled to a complimentary mocktail, TWG tea, or Suzuki Gourmet Coffee. We went for the Blossom Fizz mocktail – a fruity-floral blend of peach puree, rose water, coconut syrup, soda and blue pea. House wine or beer is available at $15 per pop, but there’s also a Mischief in the Garden cocktail that you can order at $25. We suggest going straight for the latter if you’re going all out with the theme, because this citrusy vodka-based drink with a hint of honey ginger comes with a little carrot within the glass, and is topped with a Peter Rabbit sugar sheet.

The afternoon tea set is served on a three-tiered floral tray, with a total of 12 sweet and savoury nibbles along with raisin and vanilla scones. It’s the sweets that'll get you ooh-ing and aah-ing, as they’re all fashioned to look like what you’d find in a garden full of fresh produce. There’s Mr. McGregor's Toadstool, a vanilla raspberry cheesecake; Flopsy’s Berry Basket, a blueberry waffle cup topped with mini flowers; Benjamin’s Orchard Tart with apple and yuzu filling; and Peter’s Garden Treat, a carrot cinnamon teacake topped with a chocolate carrot and bunny ears. Even the vanilla berry macarons come with Peter Rabbit prints on them.

But wait, there’s more. Served separately from the rest – because it deserves its own limelight – is Peter’s Garden Pot which looks exactly like what it sounds like: a pot of spring flowers. You’d want this to be the first item you’re devouring, because this is actually chocolate gelato with citrus confit, dusted over with realistic-looking cocoa ‘soil’. The pink bunny topper and pot are edible as well.

This afternoon tea set doesn’t just bring a cutesy appeal; In true commitment to the theme, special care has been taken to include ingredients that rabbits would typically eat, including soft seeds and various types of fruits and vegetables. Don’t worry, you’ll still get some protein in with items that include smoked salmon and beef brisket. And don’t be fooled by the Forbidden Orchard Tartlet – while it looks very much like a sweet mousse dessert, it’s actually a savoury foie gras-based morsel.
The Peter Rabbit-themed high tea at Skai costs $68 per adult and $34 per child, and is now available till June 30, 2025, from 3pm to 5pm daily (last seating at 3.30pm). Check out the menu and make your reservation here.
Note: The Peter Rabbit plushie pictured above is our own prop for photo-taking purposes, and is not included as part of the afternoon teaset.
