For the first time ever in its 175-year history, The State Ballet of Georgia will make its Singapore debut with the classic production Swan Lake at the Sands Theatre from September 11 to 14, 2025.
Based at the stunning Opera and Ballet State Theatre in the Georgian capital of Tbilisi, this world-class company with a tradition of 175 years is celebrated for its dazzling productions and 'versatile and accomplished' dancers (The New York Times), led by former prima ballerina of the renowned Bolshoi Ballet and current director of The State Ballet of Georgia, Nina Ananiashvili.
Their rendition of Swan Lake is a must-see – featuring a cast of 70, breathtaking sets, and exquisite costumes, this performance brings Tchaikovsky’s iconic score to life. With its captivating story, timeless music by Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky, unforgettable choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov, and grand staging by Alexei Fadeyechev and Ananiashvili, The State Ballet of Georgia's performance of Swan Lake has become the world’s most sought-after ballet performance.
