Beyond sights of lush greenery, Jurong Lake Gardens is also home to stunning waterfront views. The national water agency, Public Utilities Board (PUB), recently unveiled the biggest artificial floating wetlands – ABC Waters at Jurong Lake.

The 3,850 sq m area provides a picturesque viewpoint to admire sights of the reservoir and is part of the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters Programme by PUB to maximise the use of water bodies.

But more than just a scenic viewpoint, the man-made structure has functional benefits of improving water qualities in the lake, and serves as a natural habitat for flora, fauna, and other wildlife.

Follow the wood-paneled walkway, dressed in varying hues of blue to symbolise the colour of water, and take a stroll (or jog) along the boardwalk. In need of a breather? Grab a seat at one of the striking pavilions – you might even be able to spot some otters playing in the waters.

Anglers can also head to designated fishing spots to cast their line. Be sure to listen out for the thunderstorm warning system, which will warn park-goers in case of inclement weather.

To access this new spot, head towards the northern shore of Jurong Lake. Look out for the Jurong Park Connector, located along Yuan Ching Road that lies next to Lakeside MRT.
