A Taylor Swift fan might know the lyrics to all her top songs by heart, but a true Swiftie would know more about Tay Tay than just her various eras. If you’ve paid close enough attention, you’d know all too well that Tay Tay’s alleged favourite cocktail – The French Blonde – is currently trending, after the singer was recently spotted with it on a girls’ night out.

The drink in question is a vibrant, fruity blend that includes elderflower liqueur and gin, with a hint of zestiness from citrus fruits.

Singapore’s vibrant bar scene is not about to miss out on the hype; A handful of bars in town – including some that made the prestigious World’s Best Bars list – are shaking up The French Blonde cocktail for a limited time only this Swiftie season, from March 1 to 10, 2024.

French Blonde cocktail recipe

If you’re one for avoiding the crowds, have a pre-concert party at home with a DIY version of The French Blonde cocktail that T-Swizzle so loves.

Ingredients:

  • 30ml of Bombay Sapphire gin
  • 22ml of St Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 15ml of French aperitif
  • 45ml of fresh strained grapefruit juice
  • A dash of lemon bitters

Steps: Add everything into an ice-filled cocktail shaker, before shaking and straining into a chilled glass. Feel free to garnish with a grapefruit twist (strip of grapefruit peel) for added zing.

And there you have it, the ultimate Swiftie cocktail to pre-game with before the big show.
