Tang Contemporary Art will open its very first gallery in Singapore this June 28, 2024, occupying a 7,500 sq ft penthouse at the Delfi Orchard building. Apart from Singapore’s upcoming branch, the renowned gallery already has several branches around Asia, including Beijing, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.
First established in Bangkok by founder Zheng Lin in 1977, Tang Contemporary Art serves as a platform for both established and emerging artists to showcase their works, focusing on mainly contemporary art. With its newest opening in Singapore, the gallery aims to collaborate closely with local artists and collectors, hoping to foster deeper connections within the Southeast Asian art community.
There will also be an exhibition alongside its opening titled Ambiguous Yesterday, Fated Tomorrow. You’ll have the opportunity to experience firsthand what this gallery will contribute to Singapore's art scene. Discover works by prominent Asian artists, including Ai Weiwei, who is renowned for making powerful aesthetic statements that reflect today's geopolitical issues.
