If you prefer your footwear with some personality, you're in for a (doughy) treat. Homegrown bakery and croissant connoisseurs Tiong Bahru Bakery and Italian sneaker brand Superga have teamed up for an unprecedented collaboration aimed at sneaker lovers and foodies alike.
In celebration of the history of Tiong Bahru Bakery, the limited edition collection features three sets of hi-top sneakers spruced up with cute motifs that will remind you of TBB's sweet pastries. The first pair boasts the bakery’s signature green colour on its rubber soles and the recognisable green print on the heels. The cream-coloured kicks also feature embroidered patches of a handmade croissant, a lightning bolt and the bakery’s logo on the heel counter. That’s not all, the midsoles of the shoes carry a flashy phrase that read, “A croissant a day, keeps the doctor away.”
For something on the minimalist side, Superga's all-white classic shoe has been given a TBB twist with the signature green geometric print on the tops alongside silver eyelets and white laces. A quirky metal bread tag is attached to the laces and a splash of green hue is added to the soles for a little pizzazz. For the third pair, TBB bite-size croissant prints are seen all over the cream uppers, with matching laces and eyelets.
Each design has a brand tag reading ‘Superga x TBB’ at the back of the heels for that added flair. Priced at $119.90 a pair, the shoes are available to purchase at all Superga stores and online.
