Following the trend of luxury brands opening F&B concepts in Singapore, the latest to join the list is Prada, which will be launching Southeast Asia’s very first Prada Caffè this year. The café is located within Prada’s ION Orchard flagship, and serves a range of pastries and treats from Marchesi 1824 – a 200-year-old Italian pastry shop from Milan.
While currently in its soft launch phase, the café will soon be open to the public in the next few months. As of now, an official opening date has yet to be announced.
In the meantime, fans of the designer brand are eagerly awaiting to visit the new space, which sports the same pastel green-hued interiors and checkered flooring as its counterpart in Harrods, London. Fun fact: this iconic design is inspired by Prada’s historic boutique on Corso Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan.
The Singapore store features a sweeping curved pastry counter with cakes and chocolates embossed with Prada’s logo. Sweet treats on the menu include the apricot Sacher cake ($24) and berry tartlet ($24), while savoury items include the smoked salmon and avocado crostone ($36), lobster toast ($42), and black truffle burrata ($55). There’s also a coffee bar on the side to grab lattes ($12), macchiatos ($9) and other drinks.
Similar to the upcoming AP Café and the recently opened Louis Vuitton x Murakami pop-up, the new Prada Caffè also blends retail and F&B seamlessly, with a selection of tableware, jewellery and accessories, apparel, and bags available for browsing.
Stay tuned for more updates on Prada Caffè Singapore and its official opening date.
Prada Caffè Singapore is open daily from 10am to 10pm at ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore 238801.
