This June 2025, pursuing your dream to become a K-pop star won’t feel like a far-off dream anymore. Why? That's because SM Universe (Singapore) by SM Entertainment is launching Southeast Asia’s first dedicated K-pop training academy at *Scape, Singapore.

Backed by SM Entertainment’s industry expertise, this new studio academy will be a rigorous talent incubator, one where all aspiring K-pop artists from Singapore and Southeast Asia are given a shot at their K-pop dreams right here in this academy.
The flagship 21-week programme covers everything from vocal technique and choreography to music production and stage presence, rounding it all off in a one-week training stint at the SM Universe campus in Seoul.
And the exposure extends outside of Singapore – the highest-performing students will also have the rare opportunity to audition for South Korea’s top entertainment agencies. For those looking to sharpen their skills without the full commitment, short-term courses are also available.
Jonathan Ang, Director at SM Universe (Singapore), adds, “Southeast Asia is a major talent hub, and this academy reflects our commitment to providing young artists with the best possible launchpad for their careers.”
