Singapore’s stellar healthcare reputation isn’t just talk – leading brand valuation consultancy Brand Finance’s latest research puts the numbers behind the bragging rights. A total of eight Singapore academic medical centres (AMCs) have secured spots among Brand Finance's Global Top 250 Hospitals 2025 rankings, with six of them making it into the top 100.
Highlights include Singapore’s National University Health System claiming the title of Asia’s strongest hospital brand, taking over Singapore General Hospital (SGH), while Mount Elizabeth Hospital at Orchard grabs the global spotlight as the world’s second-strongest AMC hospital for 'patient care'.
Brand Finance’s annual survey, tapping into the views of 2,500 healthcare professionals from 30 countries, sheds light on how hospitals are perceived and what drives their choices to work at and recommend them. Singapore’s hospitals earned high scores across metrics such as ‘consideration for patient care’, ‘attracting top medical research talent’, and ‘brand momentum’.
Mount Elizabeth Hospital at Orchard soared to the world’s second strongest AMC hospital spot by putting artificial intelligence (AI) to work in healthcare – think state-of-the-art tech sharpening diagnostics and fine-tuning treatments.
For those wondering who topped the rankings, it’s Johns Hopkins situated in North America, now recognised as the world’s strongest hospital brand, surpassing Mayo Clinic. The hospital has risen seven spots in the Global Top 250 Hospitals 2025 ranking to claim the top position.
