Not to toot our own horn, but Singapore seems to be making every list – whether it’s ranking among the world’s top best cities in 2025, or emerging as one of the most trending holiday destinations for tourists. Now, Euromonitor International has officially ranked Singapore ninth among the world’s top 100 city destinations for 2024.

The Euromonitor International Top 100 City Destinations Index 2024 dives into what makes urban markets tick, from their performance and appeal to their growth potential. It looks at 55 different metrics across six main pillars to come up with an overall city attractiveness score. These pillars cover everything from economic and business performance to tourism, infrastructure, policies, health and safety, and even sustainability.

Coming in first place for the fourth consecutive year is Paris. Following the city of lights are cities Madrid in second place and Tokyo in third. Overall, Asia deserves a round of applause for securing two spots in the top 10, while Europe continues to hold strong in the rankings, thanks largely to its strength in the ‘Tourism Infrastructure’ pillar.

Here are the world’s top 10 city destinations, according to Euromonitor International:

  1. Paris
  2. Madrid
  3. Tokyo
  4. Rome
  5. Milan
  6. New York
  7. Amsterdam
  8. Sydney
  9. Singapore
  10. Barcelona
