Singapore International Festival of Arts (SIFA) 2025 is pulling out all the stops from May 16 to June 1, marking Singapore’s 60th year of independence with its most ambitious lineup yet. Under the theme More Than Ever, the festival – commissioned by the National Arts Council and organised by Arts House Limited – puts the spotlight on local talent like never before, featuring a record 15 commissioned works. Think exciting performances, and a deep dive into what it means to be a creative city.

This year’s edition brings the arts straight to the hoods of Singapore. The SIFA Pavilion at Bedok Town Square transforms a heartland space into a multidisciplinary arts hub, while Little SIFA at Empress Lawn makes its return with interactive installations and performances designed for families and children.

Of course, we aren’t forgetting the international acts either. The 2025 lineup includes Home by American artist Geoff Sobelle, a theatrical spectacle on the passage of time, and Told By My Mother by Lebanese choreographer Ali Chahrour, an emotionally charged performance exploring love and loss. Not to mention Vampyr by Chilean playwright Manuela Infante – a mockumentary blending dark humor and environmental commentary.

SIFA 2025 is also about sparking conversations. The Prism 48 series, curated by cultural producer Hong Xinyi, is a dialogue covering Singapore’s place in global storytelling and the evolving role of the arts. Meanwhile, local artists take centre stage with productions like Waiting for Audience (Nine Years Theatre) and Lear (Ramesh Meyyappan), proving that Singaporean theatre is more alive than ever.

Early bird tickets drop March 11 to April 14, 2025, with a 20% discount for those who plan ahead. Find out more here.
