Seven MRT stations will be added along Singapore's newest Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL) from June 23, 2024, as part of the completion of Stage 4 of the TEL. The stations are: Tanjong Rhu, Katong Park, Tanjong Katong, Marine Parade, Marine Terrace, Siglap and Bayshore.

These new stations will significantly reduce travel time for commuters, as many of them are strategically located with minimal walking distance to residential estates. By 2026, the Thomson-East Coast Line is set to have additional stations, including Bedok South, Sungei Bedok interchange, and Xilin. This signifies the conclusion of Stage 5 in both the TEL and the DTL extension projects.

And for anyone that’s interested to get a sneak peek before its official launch, exciting news – you can travel for free along these seven stations during the opening event on June 21, from 10am to 9pm. More details will be released on Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) Facebook page so stay tuned
