Japanese band Radwimps has announced that Singapore will be part of their Asia tour The Way You Yawn, And The Outcry Of Peace. They will be performing at the Singapore Expo on May 11, 2024. Other countries they will also be performing in include Japan, Manila, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok and Seoul.
Formed in 2001, Radwimps is a Japanese rock band celebrated for their dynamic and genre-defying music. The band's name, a fusion of ‘rad’ and ‘wimp,’ reflects their intention to merge contrasting elements.
The band gained global acclaim for their work on the soundtrack of the renowned anime film Your Name in 2016. Known for thoughtful lyrics and a diverse musical palette encompassing rock, pop, and electronic genres, Radwimps has established a noteworthy presence in the Japanese music scene. Some of their hits include Dream Lantern, The First Encounter, and the viral track Suzume.
