Cue the celebratory trumpets. Korio, the popular sandwich spot that took the local food scene by storm when it opened back in 2020, is set to return after shuttering its doors last December. This comes after the homegrown shop’s overwhelmingly successful pop-up earlier this year.

Korio will reopen its doors on December 4 at its new 600-square-foot space in IOI Central Boulevard Towers with an expanded menu. Not only will its new outlet be bigger than its previous location at Far East Square, it will also have ample seats for dine-in customers.

The gourmet sandwich shop will bring back its cult favourite grilled cheese, which consists of American and cheddar cheese on whole-wheat sourdough layered with sweet caramelised onions.

Look forward to getting a taste of the Breakfast Sammy, another fan favourite. This sandwich sees soft and fluffy brioche paired with creamy sauce gribiche and a sizzling piece of luncheon meat.

Those with a sweet tooth will be glad to know that Korio’s Brooklyn-inspired brioche doughnuts will also make a comeback.

Aside from the classic flavours, you must try its Cinnamon Sugar and Whipped Honey Butter, which offers a creamy and sweet bite with a warm and spiced kick.

There’s also the Apple Crumble Doughnut, where fluffy brioche meets juicy, tender apples beneath a toasty crisp crumble. The play on textures alone – not to mention the decadent flavour – is enough to have you back in line for another round. Keep up to date on Korio’s exciting reopening here.

Korio is located at IOI Central Boulevard Towers, 2 Central Blvd, #01-11, Singapore 018916 and is open daily from 8am to 4pm.
