We haven't been shy about our excitement for the upcoming lifestyle destination by Lo & Behold Group, called New Bahru. Retail and dining destinations are now moving in and putting the final touches on the new space – ahead of a full launch sometime in July or August.
In the meantime, we have more exciting news. Alma House, the serviced apartment within New Bahru, is now taking reservations. The chic property takes its name from the Latin 'alma mater' – a nice nod to the former Nan Chiau High School building it is now housed within.
What stands out about Alma House is its proximity to homegrown boutiques, restaurants, and wellness studios at New Bahru. Guests can expect special access, perks and promotions across 35 brands like Beyond the Vines, Dearborn, PPP Coffee, Kiztopia, and The Trapeze Group. Also look forward to unique packages for short- and long-stay guests, which will allow you to handpick gym, wellness, and dining experiences to suit your needs and desires.
There are six room categories at Alma House. The cosy deluxe room comes in at a cosy 18sqm, the perfect size for a single traveller. Or get more room in a studio, which comes with a fully-equipped kitchenette. Larger groups can opt for the 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom or 2-bedroom executive suites, which have separate living and bedroom areas for greater comfort and privacy. The Alma Family Suite takes the cake – it spans a generous 55sqm, accommodating two large bedrooms furnished with queen-sized beds and study desks, a spacious living room, kitchenette and a six-person dining table.
You can also lounge at Alma House's lobby, a light-filled space with long tables for working or socialising, cosy sofas for lounging, and little nooks for those who desire a little privacy.
Alma House is now taking reservations for stays starting from August 1. Standard rates start at $1140 for a six-night stay in a deluxe room – and yes, you must book a minimum of six nights. Find out more about Alma House and book your stay here.
