New Year’s Eve celebrations in Singapore are set to be even bigger than before this December 31. Although the annual Let’s Celebrate countdown show by Mediacorp will be held at a new location this time – on top of Sentosa having not one but two fireworks sites and a drone show – it’s safe to say that the yearly anticipated Marina Bay Countdown will still be going at full force.
If you're planning to head out to town to celebrate the turn of the new year, then take note of the full and partial road closures around Marina Bay. Cycling in the area is banned on this day, but selected bus and train services will have extended operational hours, so you don’t need to worry about getting stranded after the fireworks go off.
