Singaporeans can expect a flurry of activity this week as thousands of Swifties prepare for Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour that will be kicking off this Saturday. Regardless of whether they have tickets for any of the six performances, fans are celebrating the famous popstar by hosting pre-concert parties, making friendship bracelets, and even Jewel Changi Airport has joined in on the festivities by hosting a three-hour sing-along session where Swifties can belt out their favourite tracks on Taylor Swift’s discography.
Given that Marina Bay Sands is the official Presenting Sponsor for The Eras Tour, it’s unsurprising that they are organising various events to celebrate the upcoming concerts. This includes the special promotion that was released last November, featuring ticket packages inclusive of a two-night stay at the esteemed hotel and even a limousine ride to the National Stadium. As a way to get Swifties excited for The Eras Tour, Marina Bay Sands will be transforming into an enchanting wonderland for all things Taylor Swift, paying tribute to the singer-songwriter’s amazing career so far.
Starting February 28, fans can embark on a visual narrative of Swift’s musical journey at The Eras Tour Trail, located at select areas of The Shoppes and Sands Expo & Convention Centre. These installations will feature her 10 iconic eras, such as an enchanting carriage representing Speak Now, and a replica of the Look What You Made Me Do throne from reputation. The trail will also provide Instagram-worthy photo opportunities for fans and visitors, so be sure to dress up in your favourite era when walking through the trail!
Besides the trail, there will also be a light and water show which will be held daily at 8pm and 9pm from February 28 to March 7, with an additional show at 10pm on March 1 and 2. This 14-minute special offers a fresh interpretation of Marina Bay Sands’ Spectra – A Light & Water Show, harmoniously choreographed to the melodies of four Taylor Swift songs: You Belong With Me, Cruel Summer, Style, and Shake It Off. Expect a mesmerising display featuring dancing fountain jets, vivid visual projections, and synchronised lava effects, all perfectly attuned to the rhythm of these four iconic tracks. The integrated resort will also boast The Eras Tour colour palette daily from 7pm to 11pm.
Admission to the show is free, but pre-registration is required due to the capacity limitations at the Event Plaza. Pre-registration commences today, February 27, at 12pm, and you will be allowed to redeem up to 6 e-tickets per person. You can register for tickets to the light and water show here. Those who do not have an e-ticket will still be able to view the show from the Waterfront Promenade.
Swifties who wish to get official The Eras Tour merchandise before the concert will be pleased to know that an exclusive retail pop-up will be located at Sands Expo & Convention Centre Hall C starting from February 29. Fans can purchase T-shirts, hoodies, and other memorabilia at the pop-up as an alternative to purchasing merchandise at the concert venue on the day of. Admission is free, but pre-registration for entry is required. You can register for a timeslot here from February 27, 6pm onwards. Do note that each registration only admits one, and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Although tickets for all six nights of The Eras Tour are sold out, Marina Bay Sands is currently offering a festive draw where Sands Lifestyle members can stand a chance to win a pair of VIP 2 (Karma Is My Boyfriend) tickets. You can sign up to be a Sands Lifestyle member online for free, but you must activate your draw entry in-person at any Sands LifeStyle kiosk from 6am to 4pm on March 2.
