Presented by National Gallery Singapore, Light to Night Singapore returns once again from January 19 to February 8, 2024, with over 60 exciting artworks and programmes scattered across the Civic district. This includes: National Gallery Singapore, Asian Civilisations Museum, Victoria Theatre and Concert Hall, The Arts House, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay, and Funan.

The 2024 edition is themed Reimagine, featuring exciting installations and programmes that will encourage the audience to relook at art from a fresh perspective.

There will be several interactive installations that festival goers can immerse themselves in. This includes a game of table tennis by local performance artist Lee Wen called Ping Pong Go-Round, where participants can gather around a circular table tennis table to activate the artwork by engaging in a game of ping pong with one another.

At Wishful Thinking by Whisperlodge, a multi-room installation, visitors will engage all their senses by being part of an ASMR video. The Arts House will also house the work 8-Bit Word Clouds: Cloudscape of Literary Arts, designed by Justin Loke. The cloud-shaped installation features pixelated 8-bit elements that invite viewers to uncover missing letters, engaging in an interplay of words and imagination.

Look out for works such as Living the Life! with Milosh Luczynski by Singapore abstractionist artist Teo Eng Seng, Temple of Love with Wayang Merdeka and Milosh Luczynski by visual and performance artist Arahmaiani, Symphony of Order by Sarah Choo Jing, and Winter Sonata, Summer Mookata by risograph publishing and printing studio Knuckles & Notch. Last but not least, Malaysian-born Singaporean contemporary artist Kumari Nahappan’s 6-metre high installation, Wings of Change, will grace the Padang.
