Singapore’s Budget 2025 was announced on February 18, 2025 by Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. Similar to previous years, the announcement shared the country’s economic strategic measures. For those who didn’t catch it, we’ve rounded up the key perks that Singaporeans can look forward to receiving. From SG60 vouchers and ActiveSG credits, here’s the TL;DR on Budget 2025, so you don’t have to sit through the full speech.
SG60 package – museum credits, tax rebates and more
Singapore’s hitting the big six this year, and we’re celebrating her 60th birthday with the SG60 package. This includes the following:
- $600 worth of vouchers for Singaporeans aged 21 years and older. Seniors who are 60 and above receive an additional $200. These can be used at businesses of the CDC voucher scheme and will be given out in July 2025. The vouchers will expire on December 31, 2025.
- 60 percent personal income tax rebate, capped at $200
- A special gift for babies born this year
- $100 credits for local cultural performances, museum exhibitions, and more for Singaporeans aged 18 and above. These credits are part of the new SG Culture pass and will expire at the end of 2028.
- $100 worth of ActiveSG credit top-up for all ActiveSG members, given in June 2025. You can use them to book badminton courts, purchase gym passes, and more.
$800 more in CDC Vouchers
CDC vouchers are something every Singaporean household will look forward to since they can be used at plenty of participating supermarkets, hawker stalls, and heartland merchants. On top of the $300 issued earlier this January, there will also be $800 worth of CDC vouchers given out, with the first $500 given out in May 2025 and the remaining $300 given out in January 2026.
Rebates and vouchers for utility bills
Household expenses can be reduced with the help of the following vouchers:
- Up to $760 U-Save rebates for utilities
- $100 top-up of Climate Vouchers for HDB households
Credits for families with children
Families with children can rack up a bill. The following credits and rebates will be given to eligible households to help lessen the load:
- $500 Child LifeSG credits for Singaporean children aged 12 and below, which parents can use for groceries, utilities, and pharmacy bills.
- $500 Edusave top-ups for children aged 13 to 16, and $500 Post-Secondary Education top-ups for teens aged 17 to 20.
- $1,000 LifeSG Credits per year for families with children aged one to six
- $5,000 Large Family MediSave Grant for family healthcare expenses (credited to the mother’s account)
