Get ready for a barrel of laughs as Japanese-Taiwanese comedienne Atsuko Okatsuka will make her return to Singapore’s Esplanade Theatre on July 22 and 23 as part of her Full Grown tour. The 90-minute comedy set will feature hilarious anecdotes from her experiences being born in Taiwan, raised in Japan, and her current life in Los Angeles.

You may recognise Atsuko Okatsuka from her eccentric fashion sense and haircut, as she’s often wearing bright-coloured clothing, and always rocking the blunt bangs and bowl cut. Atsuko was also the creator of the #DropChallenge during the pandemic, where she stops whatever she’s doing to drop it low to the floor. Her debut standup special, The Intruder, premiered on HBO in December 2022, and went on to win Best Debut Special of 2022 by the New York Times, Vulture, and Variety. Atsuko was nominated for Best Comedian by the Wowie Awards and also earned a spot in Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2022.

Tickets have gone on sale, and her July 23 show is already sold out. Don’t worry, as there are still seats available for her July 22 show, so book your tickets now before it’s too late.
