Japanese alt-rock trio Hitsujibungaku will perform at Esplanade Singapore this July

Alt-rock trio Hitsujibungaku will be performing in Singapore at the Esplanade on July 3, 2024. This is part of their Asia tour, which includes pit stops in other cities such as Kuala Lumpur, Manila, and Hong Kong.

Established in Tokyo in 2017, the rock band consists of Moeka Shiotsuka (handling vocals and guitar), Yurika Kasai (on bass), and Hiroa Fukuda (on drums). Their breakthrough into the mainstream came in 2020 was marked by the release of the single "Sabaku no Kimi he / Girls." By 2023, the group had become a sensation, selling out concerts and touring extensively across Japan, including unforgettable performances at renowned festivals like Fuji Rock. In October of the same year, they unveiled their latest album, 12 hugs (like butterflies). The album's second track, "more than words", was featured as the ending theme for the immensely popular anime "Jujutsu Kaisen", propelling the band's fame worldwide.
