It’s the battle of the Japanese airlines these days, and they're all after the Singapore dollar. Shortly after Japan Airlines (JAL) launched Singapore-Tokyo flights with their budget sister airline ZipAir, All Nippon Airways' low-cost carrier Air Japan also set off on its maiden voyage between Singapore and Tokyo earlier this April. But Japan’s national carrier isn’t about to get complacent anytime soon, especially not after ranking as one of the top 10 airlines in the world for 2024, and they’ve just come up with a sweet deal for free domestic flights within Japan for international travellers from Singapore.
To score a free domestic flight from Japan Airlines, you’ll first have to book an international trip to Tokyo from Singapore via JAL – this can be either a one-way flight or a round trip, and it doesn’t matter whether you’re landing at Narita Airport or Haneda Airport. You’ll also be glad to know that there are special promotional fares starting from just $778 for all-in round trips to Tokyo right now.
Once you’ve gotten your international flight settled, you can go on to choose your desired domestic flight add-ons to any destination within Japan, as long as JAL operates there. This could be anywhere from popular cities like Osaka, Fukuoka, and Sapporo, to less-frequented spots like Akita and Kochi. Why not take this chance to explore a new destination that you otherwise wouldn’t think of visiting?
Just a heads up that the booking period is about to close in a few days – you’ll have to make your flight reservation by July 30, 2024, but trips can be taken anytime till October 15, 2024. The free domestic add-ons are valid for travels between now till August 9, and August 19 to October 15. Find out more about this JAL promotion and book your tickets via the Japan Airlines website.
