Four years have passed and the Olympics are back once again, this time bigger and better than ever. The international multi-sport tournament sees over 10,000 athletes from 206 countries this year, taking part in 32 different sports such as archery, table tennis, and the newest addition, breakdancing. Singapore has sent 23 athletes to compete in 11 sports this year, including sprint queen Shanti Pereira and two-time World champion kite foiler Max Maeder.

Where are the 2024 Olympics held?

The Games will be hosted in Paris, France across 41 venues, with the surfing competition taking place in Teahupo’o, Tahiti.

When do the 2024 Olympics start?

The Olympic Games started with an impressive opening ceremony on Friday, July 26, and will continue for 19 days, ending with the closing ceremony on Sunday, August 11.

Where can I watch the Paris 2024 Olympics in Singapore?

Come together with other fans and support local athletes at free live screenings of the Olympic games across the island. 

The Capitol Kempinski, Singapore Sports Hub, Chijmes Main Lawn and Basement 1 will be hosting live screenings of the Games, as well as offer a range of Olympic-themed games. Take part in an outdoor workout class, or show off your skills at the mini golf course.

How many medals has Singapore won at the 2024 Olympics?

As of Monday, July 29, Singapore has yet to be awarded any medals. However, badminton player Loh Kean Yew has won his opening group stage match against Jan Louda.

When are the 2024 Paralympics?

The 2024 Paralympic Games will be held in Paris from August 28 to September 8, 2024. The Games will feature 549 events across 22 sports.
