There are already plenty of reasons to visit Gardens by the Bay – from the eventful Flower Dome, which hosts floral showcases like the annual sakura display, to the Enchanted Forest-themed Starbucks. Now, there's a brand-new reason to make the trip: a sprawling outdoor zone packed with kid-friendly fun – and it’s completely free to enter.

The PropNex Family Zone is a 2,000-square-metre outdoor playground designed for maximum fun and adventure for kids and kidults. Scale the climbing towers, have a go on the swings, and hop across installations shaped like kueh lapis and ang ku kueh. You’ll also notice bunny-themed elements here – a nod to the Families for Life mascot, Becky Bunny.

The star of the playground is a pair of nine-metre-tall towers inspired by Gardens by the Bay’s iconic Supertrees. Young adventurers can scale the climbing nets and cross from one tower to the other via a wooden suspension bridge and zoom down a metal tube slide. At night, these towering structures light up in synchronised displays while the nearby sandpit glows with disco-inspired light projections.

For toddlers and younger children, there’s a charming ‘market stall’ play area featuring 3D cut-outs of fruits and vegetables such as bananas, apples, and pumpkins. There’s also a cashier area and a chalkboard to encourage imaginative play.

Other highlights include a flying fox and wooden balance elements like beams and logs that challenge coordination and motor skills. A large portion of the playground is covered with shaded tarps, making it cooler for both kids and accompanying adults. Kids can clamber in a giant bunny play structure and zip down from the back too.
The PropNex Family Zone is within walking distance of Bayfront MRT station, or you can hop on the Gardens by the Bay shuttle service, which runs every 10 minutes. Rides are priced at $3 for two trips – same price for adults and children – and tickets can be purchased through the Gardens by the Bay website or mobile app.
