Singapore is constantly proving its position as one of the best cities in the world in so many aspects – from being a top foodie destination to having bragging rights to Asia’s best club and having one of the world’s most beautiful airports. And our tiny nation is keeping this powerful streak by bagging multiple wins in the latest Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards in 2025.
Out of the 18 hotels recognised, four of them have won a 5-star rating: Capella Singapore, which recently did a revamp of its manors and was also crowned the best city hotel in Singapore in 2024; The grand Raffles Hotel Singapore which was one of the filming locations for Crazy Rich Asians; The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore which comes with scenic waterfront views; and The Paiza Collection at Marina Bay Sands, a series of top-tier rooms that cost over $2,500 a night.
All these names need no introduction – they’re well-known for a reason, so there’s no disputing that they’re worthy of their 5-star status in terms of vibes, facilities, and service.
Aside from these are 14 other Singapore hotels that have made their way onto Forbes’ prestigious list. Among the mix are six 4-star award winners, including St. Regis, The Ritz-Carlton, and Mandarin Oriental. The other eight have been recognised in the Recommended category – Goodwood Park Hotel, W Singapore, Fairmont Singapore, and Pan Pacific Singapore are some of them.
This commendable collective achievement comes shortly after 21 Singapore hotels were named in the most recent World Luxury Hotel Awards – some of which even bagged multiple accolades.
According to Forbes, this year’s list of Forbes Travel Guide Star Award winners is the most geographically diverse, with luxury establishments from 90 countries making the final cut. The selection process involves input from undercover experts masquerading as regular guests, who judge each hotel heavily on service (70 percent) as well as facilities (30 percent) – while paying attention to little touches such as special design elements, wellness experiences, or anything else that would make for a highly memorable stay for guests.
